Home kitchen:: Nebraska cottage food law (§81-2,280, significantly amended by LB262 effective July 19, 2024) allows non-TCS foods from a private home kitchen plus some TCS foods with additional handling requirements. Registration required. Food handler certification required. Direct-to-consumer sales only (no wholesale to restaurants or grocery stores). No annual sales cap. Sarpy County is in the Omaha metro area.
