Most areas in DuPage County are incorporated municipalities (Wheaton, Naperville, Aurora, etc.) with their own home occupation permit rules. Contact the relevant municipality's planning department or DuPage County Planning & Zoning for unincorporated areas.
Home kitchen:: Home kitchen allowed under state cottage food law. Registration required with local health department (up to $50/year). Food Safety Manager certification (CFPM-level) required. State law preempts local contradictory restrictions in most cases, but some local health departments may impose additional requirements per §410 ILCS 625/4(d).
