The story

About Croissant

A proper croissant is 81 layers of butter and dough — three folds, three turns, half a day of patience. The English-speaking world calls it a pastry. The French call it serious. Butter cotton with burgundy script. For the people who own a marble slab and a folding ruler.

The details

Materials, fit & care

Built to be worn hard and washed often — at the Saturday market, in the kitchen at 3am, and everywhere in between.

Materials
100% heavyweight cotton

Comfort Colors 1717 (6.1 oz garment-dyed) for the vintage hand-feel, or Bella+Canvas 3001 where a smoother print surface suits the design. Pre-shrunk and softer with every wash.

Fit
Unisex, true-to-size

A slightly relaxed unisex cut from S–3XL. Size up one for an oversized look. The garment-dyed cotton drapes rather than clings.

Printing
Water-based DTG inks

Direct-to-garment with food-contact-safe water-based inks, so the print breathes with the fabric instead of sitting on top of it. Bake in it — flour and butter wash out cold.

Care
Wash cold, hang or low-tumble

Turn inside out, machine wash cold, tumble dry low or hang to dry. No bleach, no ironing directly on the print. The color deepens slightly as the garment-dye settles.

A gift they'll actually wear

For the baker who has every tool but no good shirt

Croissant is an easy gift for the sourdough-obsessed, the cottage baker running a home business, or anyone whose weekends revolve around the oven. Unisex sizing makes it low-risk, and every order comes with our free Cottage Baker's Field Guide PDF — a 50-state cottage food law reference to print and tape to the kitchen wall.
