Levain Society
For the bread-obsessed, on the long fermentation.
About Levain Society
Levain Society is for the people who name their starters and check on them at midnight. The wild yeast is the technology; the patience is the craft. Worn at farmers markets, in line at the King Arthur store, and at every party where someone asks 'so what do you do for fun?' Burgundy on cream cotton, garment-dyed and pre-shrunk. Membership is open. Dues are paid in flour and time.

Materials, fit & care
Built to be worn hard and washed often — at the Saturday market, in the kitchen at 3am, and everywhere in between.
Comfort Colors 1717 (6.1 oz garment-dyed) for the vintage hand-feel, or Bella+Canvas 3001 where a smoother print surface suits the design. Pre-shrunk and softer with every wash.
A slightly relaxed unisex cut from S–3XL. Size up one for an oversized look. The garment-dyed cotton drapes rather than clings.
Direct-to-garment with food-contact-safe water-based inks, so the print breathes with the fabric instead of sitting on top of it. Bake in it — flour and butter wash out cold.
Turn inside out, machine wash cold, tumble dry low or hang to dry. No bleach, no ironing directly on the print. The color deepens slightly as the garment-dye settles.
For the baker who has every tool but no good shirt
Levain Society is an easy gift for the sourdough-obsessed, the cottage baker running a home business, or anyone whose weekends revolve around the oven. Unisex sizing makes it low-risk, and every order comes with our free Cottage Baker's Field Guide PDF — a 50-state cottage food law reference to print and tape to the kitchen wall.
